At a glance
- A preference set is the "how I want to eat" half of your EatSure profile, saved under a name.
- Share it as a link, eatsure.app/s/ followed by a short code, or as the code itself.
- The person you send it to sees exactly what it flags and taps "Copy this set" to apply it.
- Allergens, diet rules, health goals, and body stats never travel with a set.
- Creating and sharing sets is part of EatSure Pro. Opening a link and copying a set is free.
The issue
A dietitian tells a client: avoid nitrites, cut the synthetic dyes, watch added sugar, prefer organic where it matters. The client nods, goes to the store, and is back to guessing at the label. A parent works out over months which additives a child reacts to and has no way to hand that to the grandparents who babysit. Every scoring app has one opinion, and it is the app's.
How big the problem is
Sharing preferences with a parent, a friend, or clients was the most requested feature in EatSure's alpha, and the dietitians who tested it asked to author sets for their own practices.
How it works
A preference set is the "how I want to eat" half of your profile: the values you look for, whether you prefer minimally processed food, and the ingredients you avoid or want noted, category by category. Save it under a name and EatSure gives you a link (eatsure.app/s/ followed by a short code) and the code itself, short enough to read out loud. The recipient opens it, sees exactly what it flags, and taps "Copy this set" to apply it to their own profile. Not sure where to start? Copy a curated set first.
What never travels
Allergens, custom allergens, diet rules, health goals, and body stats. Those are private, they stay in the recipient's own profile, and they always win over anything a copied set says. Creating and sharing sets is part of EatSure Pro. Opening a link and copying a set is free.
